AGM and Dinner May 1, 2010

The following Merit Marks were presentedduring the AGM with the help of District Commander Jack Scott of Peterborough Squadron and National Secretary Elaine Jeffery from Prince Edward Squadron in Picton. Elaine was on hand to present 5th, 10th, and 15th Merit Mark pins. The pin is the standard CPS-ECP pin with a tab designating the year of Merit Mark received and the project to present the pins across Canada was funded by the CPS-ECP Foundation. CPS-ECP volunteers earn a Merit Mark for 20 hours or more of service in a year.

Below Commander Sue Mellow receives her Merit Mark, her 5th Year Pin from Elaine, and is pledged into office for another year by Jack.

At the dinner following the AGM, guest speaker Mieke Schipper from The Gamiing Nature Centre gave a great presentation on shoreline preservation. As well Susan presented Harley Payne (shown with wife Iwanka.) with a Letter of Appreciation for his help towing the boat for the Peterborough Squadron float in the 2009 Santa Claus Parade.
