Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron Past Commander Jim Lee was elected Quinte District Commander at the Quinte District AGM held in Cobourg, Ontario, on Sunday May 15, 2016. He was pledged into office and given his District Commander Flag by CPS-ECP National Executive Officer Cathie Johnstone of Ottawa.

Marine Radio Course, July 5, 2015

A great class taught by Marine Radio Course Director Tony Hill on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at the Peterborough OPP station! The class numbered eight students from as far away as Barrie Ontario. The lowest mark for the class was a high 83 %!!

Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron Picnic, Bobcaygeon Locks, June 14, 2015

Fifteen people from Kawartha Lakes and 10 from Peterborough had a great day at the Bobcaygeon Locks. The major rains held off until 3 p.m. and few got wet, if at all! This was the second annual successful event. Maggie, Puppet, and another happy pup spent a lot of time under the picnic table munching on ball park hotdogs!

Games Night, March 20, 2015

20 members including some of the Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron Bridge Officers and current students from the Boating Essentials Course attended a Game Night at the residence of Commander Leigh Mellow and Social Officer Susan Mellow. A great time was had by all!

Toronto International Boat Show 2015

End of Season Potluck, November 8, 2014

Peterborough Squadron was the very first squadron in Canada to have access to CPS-ECP’s new Boating Skills Virtual Trainer, a simulator that lets you try your hand at various scenarios on the water. The simulator was purchased from United States Power and Sail Squadrons with funding providing by The CPS-ECP Foundation.

The Virtual Trainer was available at our End of Season Potluck on November 8, 2014 for everyone to give it a try. More Photos

Flare Disposal Days August 15 and 16 at Paris Marine. We collected 170 expired flares for return to CIL-Orion. Many thanks to John Gullick, John Burchell, Mel Little, Leigh Mellow, and Paris Marine staff for testing this pilot program.

Quinte District Annual General Meeting May 25, 20124

Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron took the award for the most RVCC (Recreational Vehicle Courtesy Checks) done in 2013. Peterborough Commander Leigh Mellow and Squadron RVCC Coordinator Gina Lee accepted the award on behalf of the Squadron members who participated in the program.

Happy Birthday CPS-ECP - 75th Anniversary!

Members gathered on Sunday June 2, 2013 for lunch and then travelled to the Lift Lock to display the CPS-ECP 75th Anniversary Flag that was presented to each Squadron and District across Canada in honour of the anniversary.

A successful boater's flea market was held at the home of P/D/C Jack Scott and Elsie Scott in Ennismore on June 1, 2013.
