About Us
Norm McLeod of North Bay, Ontario, who helped found this website, passed away in October 2012. Most summers during his lifetime, he could be found wilderness canoeing in Northern Ontario and Quebec. Norm had been canoeing since he was a child living in Muskoka, Ontario. For the past 40 years he annually took canoe trips and from those experiences provided the wealth of information for this website.
Catherine McLeod lives in Belleville, Ontario and has boated all of her life. She is currently a power boater but also maintains a canoe for traversing Ontario rivers. Catherine is a member of the Canadian Power & Sail Squadrons and boating safety is her prime concern.
