Camnp Equipment
There are some important things to remember for a good camping experience. Bring extra batteries for your flashlight - you don't want to be left in the dark. You will also want to have maps or charts of the waterway you are on (if available) to keep from getting lost. And don't forget a compass!
- Lightweight tent
- 2 ML plastic from your local hardware store to use as a kitchen shelter - it is very hard to cook in the rain!
- Axe/machete
- 2 or more flashlights with replacement batteries
- First Aid Kit
- 6 each of large garbage bags and small plastic bags
- 100 feet of heavy string
- Sleeping bags
- Foam pads (optional)
- Topographical maps
- Waterway charts (if available)
If you are not sure how to construct a kitchen shelter using heavy duty plastic and string, please contact paddlecanada.ca for further information.
